Privacy Policy

The short version

This is a static website. It has no accounts, no logins, no comment section, no newsletter and no database. There is nothing here to sign up for, and the site does not ask you for anything.

The calculators

The service planner and the tire pressure calculator run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are held in the page while you are looking at it and are gone the moment you navigate away or close the tab. They are not sent anywhere, they are not written to local storage or session storage, and no cookie records them. Reload the page and both tools start over from their defaults, which is the clearest possible proof that nothing was kept.

Server logs

Like essentially every website, the hosting provider that serves these pages records standard request information: the page requested, a timestamp, an IP address, a browser user agent and a referring page. That is a function of how the web works rather than something this site sets up, and it is used for keeping the site running and understanding roughly which pages people read.

Affiliate links

Product links on this site point at Amazon and carry an affiliate tracking code. When you follow one you leave this site entirely, and from that moment Amazon’s own privacy policy and cookie practices apply, not this one. Amazon may set cookies to attribute a purchase to the referral. This site never sees who you are, what you looked at on Amazon, or what you bought; it only ever receives aggregate commission reporting.

Images

Product images are served from Amazon’s image host. Loading one means your browser makes a request to that host, which is visible to them in the same way any image request is. No other third-party hosts are used, and there are no embedded videos, social widgets or comment systems.

Children

This site is intended for adults maintaining bicycles, including bicycles ridden by children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information.

Changes and questions
