Affiliate Disclosure

PedalSpokeCove participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

In practice: some links on this site carry a tracking code. If you follow one and buy something, this site receives a small commission from Amazon. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise, and the commission comes out of Amazon’s margin rather than out of your pocket.

What that does not change

No manufacturer has paid for a place on this site, and none of them have seen a page before it went up. Nothing here is sponsored, and nothing is a paid review. If a category page ranks one product above another, the reason is written next to the badge, it names the stated specification it rests on, and you are welcome to disagree with the reasoning because the reasoning is right there.

Nobody writing this site has ridden, tested or measured any of the products it links to. Every product page says so directly rather than implying hands-on experience through careful phrasing. What the pages do is read the manufacturer listing carefully, explain what each stated specification means for the job the category exists to do, and say clearly when a listing does not state something.

The rules these pages follow

Safety is not for sale

This matters most on the pages where a bad recommendation would hurt somebody. A helmet listing that says “safety certified” without naming a standard is reported as exactly that: a claim in the listing, to be checked against the label inside the helmet. Nothing on this site claims a certification a listing did not state, and nothing here calls a product safe because it would be convenient to.

If a commercial relationship ever came into conflict with any of that, the relationship would be the part that went. There is no version of this site worth running where the brake page is influenced by a commission.
